Effect of Fsh Β-sub Unit and Fshr Genes Polymorphisms on Superovulatory Response Traits

چکیده
Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a pituitary expressed glycoprotein hormone that regulates reproduction in mammals which composed of α and β-sub unit. The β-sub unit dictates its binding specificity with their receptor (FSHR). This study aimed to identify polymorphism of FSH β-sub unit and FSHR genes, and its effect to superovulatory response traits on superovulated cows. Study was done on 32 cows including Angus, Friesian Holstein (FH), Limousin, Simmental and Brahman in Cipelang Livestock Embryo Center. Cows used have been treated superovulation and mated by artificial insemination. Superovulation response (SR), ovulation rate (OR), fertilization percentage (FP) and viable transfer embryo percentage (VP) were analyzed to investigate the effect of FSH β-sub unit and FSHR polymorphism. Allele frequency of FSH β-sub unit|PstI and FSH|AluI were opposite within species. Mostly B allele and C allele for FSH β-sub unit and FSHR respectively have a high number in Bos taurus species while those were in contrast in Bos indicus species. The highest heterozygosity was found in FH cattle (0.250) for FSH β-sub unit and Brahman (0.333) for FSHR. Significant effect was FSH β-sub unit and FSHR Gene on Superovulatory Response Traits (E. Andreas et al.) 197 found between FSHR gene polymorphism with ovulation rate where CC genotype was higher (P<0.05) than CG and GG genotypes.

Isolation and molecular characterization of partial FSH and LH receptor genes in Arabian camels (Camelus dromedarius)
Very little is known about LHR and FSHR genes of domestic dromedary camels. The main objective of this study was to determine and analyze partial genomic regions of FSHR and LHR genes in dromedary camels for the first time. To this end, a total of 50 DNA samples belonging to dromedary camels raised in Iran were sent for sequencing (25 samples of each gene). We compared the nucleotide sequences ...
متن کاملP-212: Ala 307 Thr Polymorphism of FSHR in Iranian Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Background: Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) receptor plays an important role in FSH signaling during reproductive development. Any changes in FSHR gene is resulted in alteration of amino acid in protein chain, consequence to affect the binding affinity, intracellular signaling and expression levels of FSHR. FSHR polymorphisms can be involved in etiology of many reproductive disorders such as...
متن کاملRelationship between polymorphisms in exon 10 of FSHR gene and litter size in swine.
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), a glycoprotein secreted by the anterior pituitary, can regulate ovarian function through the FSH receptor (FSHR). To evaluate the effects of the FSHR gene on reproductive traits in pigs, polymorphisms in exon 10 of the FSHR gene were observed by polymerase chain reaction-single-strand conformation polymorphism, and 3 single nucleotide polymorphisms (C1491T, G...
متن کاملFunctional genetic polymorphisms and female reproductive disorders: Part I: polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian response
BACKGROUND The identification of polymorphisms associated with a disease can help to elucidate its pathogenesis, and this knowledge can be used to improve prognosis for women with a particular disorder, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Since an altered response to ovarian stimulation is also a characteristic of the disease, further knowledge about its aetiology could help in defining t...
متن کاملAnalysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms of FSH receptor gene suggests association with testicular cancer susceptibility.
The development of testicular germ cell tumour (TGCT) is believed to be under endocrine control but definitive proofs are lacking. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels are increased in numerous conditions associated with increased risk of TGCT and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the FSH receptor (FSHR) gene influence the sensitivity of the receptor to FSH. However, a possible eff...
